Chez Fred is one of the most popular fish and chip eateries the south coast has to offer. With a beautiful indoor space, there is plenty of room to cater for a large group, or a just to just offer a table for two. It’s grown to become a local hot spot for those looking to enjoy quality British cuisine.

We were recently invited with our sister company TEKNE to work on the refit of their flagship Westbourne eatery. We worked on several areas that included the serving counters and bar tops.

Our brief was to create a suite of coated surfaces that we would apply our copper coating to. Due to the flexibility of our products, we were able to offer a premium, high quality finish that was able to withstand the effects of prolonged exposure to salt, vinegar and other potentially corrosive substances. We also needed to ensure that the surface was easy to maintain and keep clean, without any arduous cleaning processes.

Working closely with Fred and the team, we chose from a number of material choices, where we then settled on the liquid copper finish. As you can see from looking at the project gallery, this finish complements the overall look and combination of materials really well and creates a very striking finish to both the serving counters and bar tops.

The finished outcome is the perfect match for the venue that offers the best fish and chips in Britain!
